In Eastern Thailand, there are a number of high standard golf courses where you can find everything for every taste and skill level: these courses are suitable for one time players as well as professionals. The prices are lower here in Pattaya and Bangkok area than they are in other places in Thailand. You can even find green fees for only 100 Baht.

Golfer's paradise

In Chonburi area, less than 60km away from Pattaya, you can find at least 26 full sized stunningly beautiful courses. You don't have to be a member to play golf at these courses and tourists are also very welcome to play in the Chonburi area. However, if you join the Pattaya Sports Club (the membership costs 700 Baht per year) you will receive nice discounts for green fee prices. It is also cheaper to play during the low season from May to September because there are not many tourists in the area in that time.

The newest golf course is Pattaya Plantation which belongs to Siam Country Club. It was opened in February. Some of the courses are created by top designers. For example, Laem Chabang and Mountain Shadow are designed by Jack Nicklaus and Nick Faldo. Laem Chabang golf course is even considered to be the best course in Thailand.

You can have a personal caddy to serve you during the play at a very reasonable price which makes playing very comfortable and relaxing. You don't have to bring your own golf bag with you because you can rent equipment or even buy in pro shops at quite low prices.
